Frequently Asked Questions
Several folks have been talking about getting all the Indigenous pop-culture groups together in one place to celebrate and validate the work that has been done. Native Realities finally had the time and resources to make this event happen and the rest is (or rather will be) history. We started in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2016 and have held IPX in Denver, Australia, and now Oklahoma City.
Yes, So get your costumes ready! However, we hope that the costumes will be appropriate for the setting and spirit of the Expo (i.e. please, no Tontos or other Indigenous stereotypes). We have our 2023 Best In Show Winner Blossom Youngbear joining us at her special guest booth!
YUSS! We will have play areas and numerous activities for the kiddos throughout the Con. We have worked hard to make the entire daytime event for all regardless of age, but specifically creating space for our kiddos & elders!

Indigenous Pop Xpo and Native Realities do not necessarily have control over every aspect of guests, programming, and/or events as part of the Con with a partner location and filming schedules for guests. As such, we reserve the right to change or cancel guests, programming, and/or events without notice to attendees. Attendees who wish a refund may request one on a case-by-case basis.
Passes denote vendors, volunteers, and tickets! Tickets will be purchased through Eventbrite, and scanned at the door for an exclusive 2024 IPX badge! Please wear your badge at all times for security purposes.
This depends on the type of badge purchased. A three-day pass will allow you into all events and workshops throughout the festival not including any other ticketed events. General Passes allow you to do all the activities for those pass types. A Daily Pass will get you into a single day’s activities and events. VIP tickets/badges include various perks per level! Some evening events have special ticketing like the inaugural I-Pop Culture Awards
For the safety of all of our players our Stickball coach Ace Greenwood, and our IPX Director Kristin Gentry decided to have a daytime game for kids 17 & under and the evening game will be for adults. Don’t forget to bring your sticks!
